Woodstock-themed foam party, picnic, car rally, brewery tour & camping party!
August 17 @ 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm$30
We are planning a Woodstock-themed car rally, picnic and foam party in mid August. Yay! Just working out the final details. We have a Packenham farm, a local brewery and trusted engineers working on the foam canon. Corn roast, bonfire and camping is also in the mix.
The plan is to meet in Ottawa with directions west towards Almonte. You will be taking fun pictures of the group and stopping places for swimming, ice cream, brewery tour and more as part of the car rally. We end up at a “Lester’s Farm” location in the middle of the nowhere between Packenham and Arnprior. It’s a clothing optional picnic party with Woodstock themed music, campfire, and pool filled with foam. Let the games begin.
Driving in a car as a group is a great way to make new friends and visit places locally that you’ve never seen. It’s a farm so pitching a tent for those who don’t want to drive back to the city is available. We aren’t organizing a breakfast but the option is there of you plan on drinking.
We will want you to bring something for the picnic and it’s BYOB. It’s your chance to re-live the “free love” of the 60’s and have a great time with your Duckling community. Cost is $30. We will meet in the parking lot at D. Roy Kennedy School at the corner of Woodroffe and Georgina Drive (just north of the Queensway) at 1 to start the car rally. We should be at the farm between 4 and 5 for the picnic.
Address of the farm is
3194 9th Concession North, Pakenham.
“Warkwyn Farms” also brings up this address on Google maps.
Dig up those peace necklaces and look for flower-power shirts at upcoming garage sales!
Cost is $30 and an additional $10 to cover breakfast and overnight. This fee includes your brewery tour (which is usually $20 alone). Cash the day of or in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
More details about Saturday!
More details about this Saturday’s Woodstock themed car rally, foam pool party and overnight camping with breakfast!
It starts at 2 pm at Westgate where we will meet in the parking lot near Monkey Joe’s. You can drive, get organized into cars or decide to do it on your own so you have your car.
If you want to have a team (with colours, a team name etc) that would be fun.
Jim and Cheryl Selig will have the car rally spots through Almonte that include a stop at Hummingbird Chocolate, and Cartwirght Brewery for a tasting and samples.Inappropriate pictures will be taken along the way and can be sent to email@example.com.
The rally ends about 5 at the final destination which is a very private farm between Packenham and Arnprior. The address is 3194 9th Concession North, Pakenham.
“Warkwyn Farms”. If you can’t make the rally feel free to come to the dinner, pool and foam party directly.
We will have tables set up for a picnic and the above ground pool will be filled with foam. That should be fun.
Music, dancing, corn, and a chance to re-create the Woodstock feeling.
People can camp overnight (with a full, hot breakfast the next morning) or head home by 11pm.
You need to bring your picnic contribution in the car or stop at the grocery store, pizza place in Almonte or Packenham and pick up your potluck item. Bring a town and what you want to drink. Water, ice and some pop will be supplied.
Temperature Saturday is expected to be 28 during the day and 19 at night. Fullish moon and a perfect summer night for camping. It should be a blast as you can come to all, or pieces of this event.
See you Saturday!
